What a Message

Our family all spoke in Sacrament Meeting this last week and I wanted to share some highlights of Cole's talk with everyone. He wrote in by himself and definitely didn't hide his character :)

He spoke on the 10 Commandments! He told each commandments and followed with his thoughts of each

1.Thou shalt have no other God's b4 me.
"I love Greek Mythology and learning about different Gods and Goddesses. But I know who the real God is and he knows me too."
5. Honour thy father and thy mother.
"So you better do what your mom and dad say or you"ll get in big trouble."
6. Thou shalt not kill.
"So you can't kill......well, any people." ( he loves hunting)
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery
"I dont think I want to talk about that today"
8. Thou shalt not steal
" So for those of you who think it's ok to steal an old ladies purse right out of her hands, it's not."
10. Thou shalt not covet
"For everyone who wants their neighbors nice car or house, you shouldn't. When you die all you take with you is what's in your hearts anyway so just be happy with what you've got."

#7 was by far the audiences favorite. He has some good insight and the best part was he really didnt try to be funny. I love his innocent manner.

Jr. Miss

This last weekend we got to see Paige do an amazing job in the Jr. Miss. Program. Paige is absolutely beautiful and talented. We are so proud of her. Thanks for all the support from her family. She had a great cheering section :)

She got two awards (in our opinion the 2 best awarded :) She won "Spirit of Jr. Miss" , which is voted on by the contestants for the girl that made it the best experience for others. Also the "Be your best self", voted on by the Jr. Miss committee for the girl that made the most personal growth throughout the program.

The two scholarships will certainly come in handy next year when she heads out for college.

My, how time flies

I found this cute Halloween pictures from 2001. It made me cry. They were so little (and sweet). I don't know where the time has gone. But I love them more and more every year!

ABC Gum anyone?

Bubble Gum by the Foot.......whoever came up with this idea must have had a much larger mouth than Coleby. But he enjoyed trying to make it fit anyway. 4 ft. of sticky stuff all shoved into one 10 year olds mouth. WOW!!!

Anyone like ABC gum. We have enough to share with your whole family :)

Grandmas House

We were fortunate enough to spend some time with Grandma Jenks this last weekend. Like always, we ate too much, slept too little and the kids had a BLAST. We Loved it!

Coleby still loves to cuddle his Grandma. I'm so grateful he gets to have her in his life. This picture is priceless.
Becca and Aymree had a Grandma style bubble bath. Everything was wet, especially Aunt Kim.

Grandma called me yesterday to apologize for not feeding us. Are you kidding me? I gained 5 lbs. atleast. Sweet Grandma always has been the worlds best hostess. We even left with the famous cereal/treat baggies decked out with names and smiley faces for the drive home.

We Love You Grandma!!!

It's Autumn Time

I've always loved autumn time. The colors and vibrancy of nature are a reassurance that we have a truely Great Creator. In nothing else can we find such beauty in the end of something.

Our family hasn't had a real family photo for about a decade. I know thats awful. I take pictures of the kids a lot but the family thing just hasn't happened, until now. This autumn I decided we needed to cature two of my most favorite things. My family and this gorgeous season.

My good friend, Ashley, took some shots of us near our home. Thanks Ashley! We actually did it...all 6 of us. :)

Football is winding down. Hooray!!!

Monday Night we had a football party for Coleby's team (the Browns). They just finished their first season. They learned tons and had a blast.

Diving into water is less painful than diving into a kid twice your size, but far less "Manly"

The kids loved the climbing wall. They had a hard time leaving the competition on the field :)

Camerons football also ended and he is thrilled to be doing what he loves most.... enjoying the great outdoors.

This is Cameron's new dog K.D. and he Loves her! I think Cam is the greatest sport ever. He lets his dog wear a pink collar so she can stay in touch with her feminine side. One day this dogs pups will pay for Camerons Mission!

Nice pheasants bud! But aren't you supposed to be at school right now?

Crazy Storm

We've had the strangest weather this week. Sun, clouds, hot temps., hale, wind. Tuesday we had the most incredible storm I've ever seen. We could visibly see the hot and cold fronts battling. The clouds were absolutely beautiful.
This photo was taken about 3 miles outside of town.

This was underneath the clouds. It wasn't night time. The darkness was only from storm.

The colors were amazing, ranging from black to brilliant pinks and oranges.

"Me Time" and lovin' it

Two of my favorite things to do when I make a little bit of the very rare "ME TIME"......

Indulge in a porch reading. This IS why I built my porch.

Cuddle time with my hubby. He beats any blanket or Teddy Bear.
I've enjoyed both this week. Life is good folks. :) Hope you all can steal a relaxing moment too.

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Weekend with Bills parents in Island Park. It was crazy to have snow and flowers. Shovels and Buds! Can't beat that.

I shot a hole through this dollar bill ( w/ a BB gun), from 30 yds. I was quite proud of myself. We were aiming for Washingtons head but the heart still counts as the kill. Woot woot. I won the dollar.

I think next time I'll sneak some sleeping meds and ear plugs for the driving portion. I'm pretty sure my kids get more annoying with age. Good thing for Love.

Warm River was beautiful and so quiet. Loved it!

Devin caught a beautiful Bass. Thanks for smiling in a picture Dev.

We saw a restaurant with Paige's nick name on it. I think I should have some sort of copy right or something .Maybe I could collect royalties. Hee hee. If only Paige knew that when we started calling her this I was really calling her a booger butt. She thought I said Bugaboo and so I went with it. It just seemed nicer!

The Grande Finale was trying to launch raisins into G-mas mouth. I've never seen her laugh so hard. Thanks for having fun with us Joan. It was hilarious.
